Mandy Middleton, LMFT
Therapist (She / Her)
I believe that healing isn’t about fixing what’s ‘broken,’ but about gently and consistently tending to the mind, body, heart, and spirit so you can discover your own strength and wisdom. As a couples and marriage therapist in Nashville, Tennessee, I strive to offer a warm, grounded presence where clients can breathe, feel seen, and begin to untangle the weight they carry. I also support individuals and couples navigating religious deconstruction, existential exploration, and spiritual reconstruction, and I would be honored to hold space for your journey toward clarity and connection.

Values
Authenticity
For me, authenticity means showing up as my real self—unguarded, imperfect, and human. It’s about letting people see both the polished and the messy parts without shame. In my work and in my relationships, authenticity is the courage to be vulnerable, to speak truth even when it trembles, and to invite others into spaces where they feel safe to do the same.
01.
Cooperation
Cooperation, to me, is about moving together instead of against. It’s not about losing my voice but about listening deeply enough to hear others, even when perspectives differ. It’s the belief that healing, growth, and even everyday life flow best when we share effort, honor each person’s needs, and lean on each other’s strengths. It’s partnership. An ecosystem. Not hierarchy.
02.
Balance
Balance isn’t about perfection or keeping every scale even—it’s about rhythm. It’s the practice of knowing when to lean into action and when to rest, when to speak and when to hold silence, when to give and when to receive. Balance reminds me that life moves in seasons, and that honoring both my limits and my goals creates more steadiness and joy.
03.
Outside of Work
Which season feels most like “home” to you?
I am an autumn baby through and through. The crisp air. The sound of dry leaves blowing in the wind. The smell of bonfires. It's so magical to me!
What's an unpopular opinion that you have?
Pizza is overrated. And Dumbledore might be the real villain in the Harry Potter series. Who would put a child through that?
What’s one grounding technique you’d teach everyone if you could?
Belly breathing. Maybe breathing, in general. Are we even breathing anymore?
